Frequently Asked Questions
Will I get to take glass home with me?
Yes, but not immediately. Glass needs to go through a controlled cool down process, known as annealing the glass. This process can take anywhere from 12-48 hours depending on the thickness of the object. After your glass is ready to come out of the annealer, our team will cold-work the glass to remove any sharp edges and your object will be ready for pickup ~1 week after your experience.
Can you ship me my glass?
Absolutely, if you are unable to return to pickup your glass, we will gladly ship it to you. Shipping starts at $25 per address. All items are carefully wrapped and double boxed to ensure nothing breaks on the way to you.
Can I bring people with me who just want to watch?
Yes, we welcome additional guests. All guests in the Hot Shop will be required to sign the waiver and wear safety goggles and closed toe shoes. Please advise us if you are bringing guests so we can prepare our space for your group.
Do I need to have any experience?
No experience is necessary for the hands-on molten glass experiences. You will be working with an experienced glass artist the entire time who will assist you as necessary. These experiences are beginner friendly, come with an open mind and a desire to learn.
What do I wear?
Please wear closed toe shoes and natural fiber clothing. Long hair is best tied back. You will be given a pair of safety goggles to wear while you are in the hot shop.
